Luis Campos, Guitarist

 

 

 

Luis Campos started guitar lessons at the age of ten and eventually went to Spain. There he studied with respected maestros, played professionally and in juergas (jam sessions). After four years in Europe he returned to New Mexico and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in guitar performance at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. In 1990 he recorded his first commercially produced tape which is titled TORRE and was featured on KUNM radio's Guitar Special program. He has appeared with such companies as María Benítez, Teo Morca and Lydia Torea and is musical director and accompanist for Lili del Castillo's Rincón Flamenco.
